LibraryThing

What is LibraryThing?

LibraryThing is an online service to help people catalog their books easily. You can access your catalog from anywhere—even on your mobile phone. Because everyone catalogs together, LibraryThing also connects people with the same books, comes up with suggestions for what to read next, and so forth (http://www.librarything.com/about)

LibraryThing is something that the library could use in a couple different ways!  We could use it as a staff and be able to share our favorite books and book lists.  This will also broaden our knowledge when we are doing readers advisory!  The library can also use this site with patrons for book club!  It is a great way to prepare for bookclub, keep track of what is on the reading list, give feedback if you have to miss a meeting, etc.  It is an excellent tool with a lot of information!  Anyone that is doing readers advisory should definately sign up.  You can see what other librarians are saying for great book suggestions!
